On March 15, 2021, WP Global fully exited its investment in JUST, Inc via a series of secondary transactions. JUST, Inc develops and sells plant-based alternatives to traditional eggs. WP Global invested in JUST, Inc, formally known as Hampton Creek, in February 2015 alongside Khosla Ventures.
As a plant-based food developer and producer, JUST, Inc exhibited the following investment attributes: a.) increasing food safety requirements and demand for healthy food; b.) significant sales both to large distributors and retailers; c.) strong pipeline of new products; and d.) operational improvements. During WP Global’s ownership, JUST, Inc’s flagship product, JUST Egg, becoming the fastest-growing plant-based category, exceeding the growth rate of other popular plant-based products.
